I've never seen this before

I have a few Ross birds that are getting knots on their feet. Some on top and some on the bottom. They are hard and there is nothing seeping from them. I have never seen anything like this before. It's hindering their ablitiy to walk. Doe's anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? :?

No, I haven't although Ross birds do go off their feet quite easily due to the massive rate of growth. We had about 70 last year. I wrote some information about Ross Chickens here. if it's any use. It doesn't really answer your question though sorry... :?

Thank you for your link. Very informative. I can not find anything on this with my chickens anyplace but have talked to an "Old Timer" who said that it could be their age. He told me that they are not supposed to live as long as they have and are going to have their health start to fail. Thank you for your time.
