Well, actually i didn't even leave my armchair, but at half price couldn't resist these chicken placemats, coasters and napkins from John Lewis. Told myself they were for when the grandchildren came to stay, but I reckon they'll get more use than that!

They are lovely! I anticipated getting loads of chicken related items for Christmas but just got a book and a calendar...they're really useful and I'll use the calendar for monitoring worming, louse powdering, ACV intake etc etc!

What a lovely cloth, Ros - is it still available? where did you get it from? As you say it would make a lovely set with the mats. We could be in dager of becoming quite civilised here!
 
Its a 'roll end' of that plastic coated fabric stuff. It was the very end I am afraid BUT I am sure I also saw it in a shop called 'Windowscene' in the Autumn too-lovely lady who sells very expensive upholstery fabrics but also stocks a lot of roll ends too. She is called Jane, her shop is in Cuckfield,West Sussex if you want to try and see if she has more! I will ask if I go that way but doubt I will! Ros

If anyone is interested, I've had the following reply from Jane Henderson at Windowscene;

Thank you for your enquiry,
We have the fabric as shown by Ros on your Forum.
Cotton fabric is £12.50 per metre or plastic coated is £13.95 per metre.
We could fold and post the cotton fabric to you at a cost of £4.50 for postage and packing.
The plastic coated fabric would not fold and we would need to investigate dispatching that to you.
