is this a speckled sussex

Hi Jamie, how old is she? Maybe about 6 weeks? No comb, so with luck you have a pullet there. Will be a very pretty bird I expect, certainly a speckled something or other, could be a Sussex. Is she a bantam or a LF, or don't you know? Any idea of her parentage?

The cuckoo ones are lovely, also. Very pretty chicks.
Possibly cuckoo Marans, or barred Plymouth rock? - don't honestly know, if they are large fowl, just a guess, the paler one is very pretty.

Noticed the Mohawk, and wondered if it was just untidy feathers or not, Brahamas, Croads, and lots of others have light leg feathers also Silkies of course, who are also noted for their top-knot.
I think slow growth usually means v. large birds, but the Transylvanian naked necks I had were huge at 4 - 6 weeks, and still growing like mad, so not necessarily always so. I still think they are two dear little cuckoo whatevers!!

Hello Ashley,
I've just been looking at ebay eggs and someone is selling cuckoo Araucana eggs, and the large bird looks exactly like a bigger version of your little darker Mohawked one. Maybe a possible identification for you?
