I've bought some Ryegrass in a probably unsuccesful attempt to reseed my lawn. I have 3 ducks and its quite a small lawn so anyway ye I probably have Bob Hope and No Hope, and Bob just died...

This post is not about that - my girlfriend said I better check if Ryegrass (Homebase Perennial Ryegrass/Red Fescue mix) was indeed poisonous to ducks.
Anyway after some googling I came across
http://www.grassland.org.nz/publications/nzgrassland_publication_345.pdf
and
http://www.merckmanuals.com/pethealth/special_subjects/poisoning/ryegrass_poisoning.html this.

I am prepared to take some level of risk if this is a rare fungus, but if it has like a 90% chance of developing and poisoning the 3 indian runners, well I'd rather not.

Am I being paranoid or sensible.

Thoughts ?

You will need to rake it in and water it over Pulpstar. Then you will have to keep them off the area for several months while it establishes -we've just done this for the chicken's run. So I don't think the toxicity will be an issue at all as they will have no contact with the seeds.
