Is it doom and gloom?

Day 17. Turned eggs at 4.30pm. Just been to turn and check and the bulb had gone!!!!!
Temp had gone down to the 60s!!!!
Replaced bulb but now wonder if it is all too late?
Can they survive loosing heat for that length of time?
So upset as just started seeing development after my failed initial candling.

Yes, they can survive so it's worth taking a chance. If they do hatch it could be 24-48 late. I'm going on mine and others experience with hens eggs; no reason to suppose it's any different with ducks.

Thankyou Chuck. Fingers crossed for the end of next week/beginning of the week after. Will carry on getting the brooder in order just in case it all turns out fine.
