I am a PhD student at the University of Wageningen. My research will focus on the hybridization between different wild species.
To cancel out most environmental noise, we are planning of creating hybrids ourselfs and measuring certain characteristics.
However, we are still looking for a location with the necessary facilities. Preferably in the Netherlands or Belgium.

Some combinations we would like to test are:
Cackling Goose x Barnacle Goose
Canada Goose x Greylag Goose
Lesser White-front x Greater White-front
I know hybrids are seen as mistakes of nature and lines should stay pure.
However, recent research has shown an important role of hybridization in the evolution of several species.
