Humidity pad

Has anyone found a cheaper alternative to the humidity pads for the R com incubator at twelve pounds plus postage I think this expensive for a piece of cork

Hi Smurfsdad and welcome to the forum. We have an Rcom Suro and it uses what appears to be a piece of dense but thin sponge for distributing the water from the humidity pump. It is normal to use sponges for increasing the humidity (by enlarging the evaporation area) in incubators with water troughs. I think a piece of kitchen roll folded into quarters would do just as good a job and can be thrown away after use.
