How much feed?

Looking at buying duck starter crumbs, and found they mostly come in 5kg bags. This sounds like a lot for 3 weeks' worth of feed before they move onto grower pellets. How much weight wise do they eat, roughly?

Hi Flic78. You don't say how many ducks. We have raised two, the feed wastage is high, they grow fast so I would estimate 1+ Kg each.

I'm not sure yet Chris, as we've only just started incubating them, but 1kg each is a great starting place, thank you! I'll get a 5kg bag in to start, and see how it goes. Thanks again!
