how many eggs for a large fowl hen??

i have always done it 6 eggs for a normal sized lady. is this the right amount or could i be putting more under them? my broody at the moment has 6 and has 3 on each size of her breast bone. she is a wyandotte lf. x

I put 6 under my small Pekins so I guess you could definately put about 10 under a normal hen.

they are cream legbar eggs so medium/large but not extra large eggs....

IIRC I was told a hen can sit on up to 12 of the size eggs she lays 19
