Its the wild west out there! Lots of very lovely stories and lots of new rescue keepers who deserve a medal! I lost Bonnie .. The CLBs are still freeloading but showing ever increasing signs of an egg before too long. Linden is looking forward to the spring, Oh the delight of a senior cockerel - even if he is too silly to get off the perch with his feathered feet until I lift him down in the morning - mostly. Anyway - Hi all! Any day now someone will lay an egg - bet its Pom!

Hi Rick, lovely to have all your news. Fancy Linden being a 'senior cockerel' - how old is he now? We remember him aa a somewhat downtrodden youngster a while ago....

Cheers Marigold. I suppose he must be coming up to about 5 - so not that old really. Fit as a fiddle!

It's lovely to hear from you again Rick! I think of you & your designs for chicken wellies whenever it starts to get a bit muddy in the run...

:D Are you still selling the craft glassware Icemaiden? (hope Im not getting confused - it was a while ago) I've gotten a lot of practice with GIMP making pattens for woodcut printing. Gave up with trying to use paper to transfer the images (in the traditional way) - so difficult (how the hell do they do it?!) but I'm blaming the lack of the right materials around here.

Hi Rick.
Yes, I'm still making stained & fused glass, though I mainly teach other people to do it these days! You can see some of what I do (if the moderators don't mind?) at https://www.gorgeousglassgifts.co.uk

What have you been inventing lately? What kind of wood cut printing are you doing? Any pics?

Hi Icemaiden, what a FANTASTIC website! I knew you were very creative but had no idea of the range of retreat experiences, classes and lovely creations you offer. I'm so glad to know about this.
Would it be a good idea to start a Creativity thread in the Dustbath? Between us, we could fill a book, let alone a thread, there are so many people on here with all sorts of skills and passions.

Thanks Marigold!!!
One of these days I'll get around to putting my stained glass chicken panels onto the site...

A creativity thread in the dust bath sounds like a lovely idea.

Very nice! Would love to see your stained glass chicken panels.
The wood cuts are very much learning the process and work in progress. Nothing to show for it so far but hoping to have some colour prints before too long in the form of playing cards. There is a chicken theme - rework of a game called Hanamikoji with chickens and eggs rather than geisha and the arts. Couldn't sell them due to copyright but the learning curve of the project has been steep!
Have reworked the anti RM perches again and should be good for the summer, though there were none around all last year so unless I go in for the crazy behaviour of importing them on purpose (even I'm not that crazy!) then it wont be very conclusive!

That's a nice problem to have- no red mite to test your perch ends with... :-)
