Hi Everyone
Just to say what a smashing source of information the Poultry Keeper website is. I have three BHWT ex-battery hens I've had since end of May this year (I did have four but sadly one died recently). They all usually lay each day, even though "in retirement". I also have one rescue white leghorn hybrid I've had since Easter this year. She has laid a lovely white egg every day since I've had her. She had a very heavy burden of roundworms and lice when I first acquired her, but thanks to information sites like this, her bad times are over. All my girls are very tame - especially when the live mealworms are on offer!
I'm looking forward to learning more about chooks as I go along.
Best wishes
Anne
