My lovely little henny penny keeps falling over and I dont know whats wrong? I live in the highlands in scotland and no local vet will see her. The nearest avian vet who will see her is hours away. It's as though her back end has gone away from her but I have been watching them all morning she hasnt fallen over has no other signs of sickness and seems her usual self. She went into the bedding house (small house the size of a shoe box) she was scuffling around in there a little and came back out like this? She doesnt seem to be in pain, she's still eating she just cant keep her balance? She hasnt laid for a while but I wondered if perhaps she was carrying an egg and perhaps it was laying on a nerve, I know that happens to pregnant women??

Maybe she has banged her head? Quail are prone to doing this. Maybe one of the others has attacked her? another thought - how old is she?

lol, just read that post back to myself and would like to reassure any women out there considering getting pregnant that you won't fall over alot during pregnancy, just meant the baby lying on a nerve thing. Turns out it was all alot of worry over nothing, she must have trapped a nerve or something. An hour or so after I posted she was running around mad as her usual self and has been fine since. Thanks for the replies guys :)
