Hi guys

Below is a few photo's plus a headshot of a Exchequer that I'm really not sure of. Please can you help me identify them so I can begin to separate them.

Thank you

This is the one i'm not sure about. It's smaller than the other Cocks but larger than the hens...

Still not sure....

Thanks guys look forward to your expert opinions!

Im not a chook expert but I think youve got it all right, except the '2 cockerels' i think it could be a hen, or a slightly less developed cockerel, :-)10
It can only be either!
to me, it looks like a fully developed hen, almost..
I cant remember our boy when he was half developed, but he was quite young, and it was well before he went outside so maybe around 5weeks?

They are lovely lovely birds though! :D

Thanks Stanley

I have separated the cocks from the hens and kept the best looking cock with the hens. Let's hope I get some fertile eggs now! Would you believe I had 9 cocks from 1 batch of 12 eggs and the other 3 eggs never made it to day 7....

Leghorns combs grow very quickly. Our cockerels crowed at 4 weeks (or less!). The hens have very large combs as well. So I don't know. Looks like a big combed hen to me. But if I have to put money on it 1 is a hen and 2 is a late developing cockerel.

Two hens and a cockerel I'd say now Smudger. What's confusing the issue is the obvious hen's comb is rather on the small side. Our one Leghorn hen is the same at the moment. Check the behaviour. Is the cockerel fighting the 'hen' ?

Hi Chrismahon

The undecided chicken is definately attacking the other hens. There is a bit of feather eating going as well.

Thanks again for your help guys.

I may leave it a couple more weeks just to be sure.
