Hi,

There are a number of potential problems - mostly are down to the incorrect humidity however something that might also be an issue is inbreeding. Some strains that are bred closely eventually start to lose vigor and some pure breed strains are more difficult to hatch than birds that are crossed with different blood.

Have a look at this article - the same applies to chickens but often duck eggs are the ones that people struggle with. Incubating Duck Eggs - Why do my ducklings die in the shell fully formed

I hope this helps... there are a few other articles on the site that might help but it is a bit of a tricky question to give specific answers and will require some detective work. I would start by looking at the parent flock first though - health, and most importantly vigor - can others hatch these eggs successfully.

Tim
