Sorry I've been quiet for a few weeks but looking after the chicks, chickens, dogs and working full time, has kept me extremely busy. The chicks are now 7 weeks old and now quite large fluff balls and looking wonderful. I've had to remove them from the house, due to the amount of dust they were creating, so they're now in the main pen seperated off, but still under the heat lamp. Ive got a lot of reading to do, to catch up on all your posts.

My eight Pekin/Silkie babies are now reduced to five, and I think another little monkey got through the Butterley sexing net, as he is now very pink about the crest and wattles.

It has been lovely to have them hatched for me and taken care of by a loving Silkie mum, an absolute delight. They are well grown and very pretty, three have Silkie heads and crests, and all have proper feathers, not the Silkie barbless variety.
