Hello Clairebear5 and welcome to the forum, lovely mix of birds you have there! :-)99 :-)99

Thanks all, just loaded my incy up with right mix of eggs, lavender aracuana, pekins, wyandottes, sablepoots cochins and bearded silkies lol...now to wait 21 days :-)07

Will you be hatching a batch of chicks of mixed sizes, Claire? I've no experience of this but wondered if other people have any advice about how to deal with this, if indeed it is any sort of problem.

They are mainly bantam sized but i do have couple LF eggs in as well to test fertility only

Hi Clairebear and welcome to the forum. You don't need to incubate the eggs to test fertility, just check the blastoderm. There was a thread all about it a few months ago so just do a search and it explains it all, as I had this problem with the cocks we are intending to export. We have bred Blue Laced Wyandotte LF. Watch out for the feather pecking if you have those as they do need a lot of space being quite feisty by nature.

Thanks chris for the info...must look blastoderm up need to see some pictures, think i have silver laced wyandottes in incy..got all sorts lol different coloured eggs too. :-)07
