If you go to the main poultrykeeper.com website (link is at the bottom of all Forum pages) and click on the Resources link from the Home page, there's a section on showing, and also pages on various breeds, that might interest you. Also, I can recommend two books by David Scrivener, Popular Poultry Breeds and Rare Poultry Breeds, which give detailed and interesting information about each breed, including its history, very readable. There may also be a Poultry Club in your area, which might be a way of meeting local breeders who are experienced and interested in showing.
