Hi all,
My name is Sue, I live in the Scottish borders on a hill farm, the poultry I have are minorca bantams, oxford old english game, appenzellers and pekins and have just hatched some cream legbar chicks. The ducks are pekins, trout runners, white bali and some newly hatched cayugas, and the geese are a pair of white chinese, with some african goose eggs in the incubator. At the moment my poultry and waterfowl are just a hobby, but would like to try showing some maybe this year if I have anything good enough. So expect loads of questions if I decide to show as I have very little knowledge of how to prepare the birds.
Best Wishes
Sue

hi Sue,
welcome to the forum hen :D ,you have some lovely poultry.Whereabouts in the Border's are you? My brother lives in Gala, and I love visiting the Border's,

Hi Lydia,
I live near Moffat, up in the hills, great place to live but we get some pretty harsh weather up here, all my poultry seem to be pretty hardy, but the pekins really struggled this winter and I lost two, also had to dispatch one of the minorca cocks who was suffering with a frostbitten comb  . Hope we don't get another winter like that anytime soon.
Regards Sue

Hi Sue,

A warm welcome to the forum. Great to have you on board!

See you in the forums and good luck with your poultry - it sounds like you have a nice collection.

Tim
