Hello from north Idaho, USA

Well, I posted a question without first introducing myself. My bad. Didn't mean to be rude.

I am from the north Idaho panhandle in the U.S.A.

I currently don't keep chickens, but I love chickens, and love reading about them and looking at them. I subscribe to three poultry magazines, which I find fascinating.

My family had chickens when I was a kid. There was also a white duck and a white goose. The goose was aggressive, as I recall from my very early youth.

I'm a general birder, that is I like all birds.

I live in a rural area, and my neighbors have or have had chickens. Some were allowed to freely roam and came onto our property where I could enjoy them grazing on bugs in my flowerbeds. Didn't mind having them there, at all. They were fun to watch. After awhile, they gradually disappeared, due to predation. The owners didn't watch them much.

Hi luvchickens, great to have you with us, welcome. Yet another member from the USA, our overseas friends are growing in number and it's always so interesting to hear about how people keep chickens in different environments.
If you go to your personal page you'll find there's provision for you to add an avatar picture and to remind us where you come from under your avatar, which will appear next to your posts but not much by way of Facebook-type profiling I'm afraid. However we like seeing pics of people and their setup so just post anything you like, anyway.

Where would I find my personal page? Would that be under the "members" tab?

Sorry, I should have said your User Control Panel. See second line down under the forum heading at the top of the page. Click on this and then you get to your personal preferences part, where you can alter or add to your profile and also send and receive private messages from other members. Click on the tabs at the top to explore options, including the one saying Profile.
