I have just built my own Chicken coop/run here in France for 6 hens. Heard many ideas on feeding, however, should I keep feeder and water in coop overnight and not the run?
Glad there is somewhere I can gain experience from others.

Hi pjb, and welcome to the forum. We have one or two members in .France who will be able to advise on feeding, but no, you shouldn't leave food or water in the coop overnight as once they're asleep they don't need it and it may get contaminated by droppings and feather dust. It's good to remove the feed overnight from the run if the run isn't completely secure against vermin, but then they need it as soon as they get up in the morning, which is pretty early in the long summer days.
