I'm that new, I haven't even GOT any fowl yet :roll:
We have been looking at keeping just a handful of chickens for a while, but when I received a dozen 'home-grown' eggs from a lady on my local freecycle, hubby got absolutely hooked on the taste of 'real' eggs, so we're now on our way!
We're lucky enough to live out in the sticks on a small plant nursery where we grow a load of our own fruit and veg - if the rabbits and other wildlife don't get to it first :evil: I run the nursery and do gardening jobs, whilst hubby has a 'proper' job working for the council, in other words, he gets paid
