Hello from a relative Newbie! :)

I adopted 4 call ducks last September and haven't looked back since! :D Not having kept ducks before I didn't quite know what to expect but since having them I have wasted soooooo many hours just getting to know their little "ways" and just generally loving them lol.

I have 2 white( Diva and Frankie), 1 Apricot(Peaches) and 1 chocolate(Teaser).

The first egg was laid on January 31st of this year. Not sure if that is about the right time of the year for them to start laying but now all 3 girls are laying and I have 2 eggs in my incubator that are fertile which have 2 more weeks to go before they hatch. I am sooo excited (and impatient) but also a little cautious and nervous because after researching hundreds of items on the internet it seems that Calls are notoriously difficult to hatch.

I was hoping that maybe by joining this forum Other more experienced call duck keepers can help me get through the unknown lol

bye for now and I look forward to gaining more knowledge of all ducks !! :D

Welcome to the forum Duckiedee. I don't know much about ducks, except we have reared two Mallards in the past found lost, wet and cold on the canal as tiny chicks. Plenty of others on the forum who can help you. I do know that female Mallards are VERY noisy and males are VERY aggressive to chickens.

Welcome to the forum from another relative newbie (To the forum that is)!

I've kept various over the years, but never call ducks - so I'm afraid not much use to you. Do you live somewhere remote - I only ask as they always seem REALLY LOUD to me :D
