Heated Chicken Coop for Extreme Climate - Design Idea

I don't see any harm in having a minimum temp as long as it doesn't acclimatise them above the general range they will need to withstand. I've got radiant heaters pointing into the nesting shelf set at 1 Celsius min. The eggs won't freeze if nothing else but it's been ridiculously warm around here so far. Where are you to get down to -43? That's seriously chilly!

Happy new year - Greatrooster.
You have some seriously spoilt girls, but with I with temperatures like yours, it seems a great idea.
If I had the ability I would build a heated hut and keep Silkies, lost both of my Silkies to Winter temperatures a few years back, and though I love Silkies would, through bad experience, would only keep them in heated housing in Winter.
