Heard the runner ducks kicking off this morning...thought I would just check everything was OK and spotted this fellow...found it really hard just to watch him to see what he would do, he just padded up the walkway, and disappeared into the wood..the fence you can see though is electrified and I think Mr Fox knew as although he glanced at the chickens, he got no closer than 2 feet from the fence :o :o

In the third photo is the fence itself..behind which is the walkway..

It looks really cold where you are, we had no frost this morning. Obviously clever Mr Fox knew to stay away from the fence and go elsewhere....................I bet you were relieved Foxy! Love the ducks, they look really comical :-)17

thats a close call :-)07 :-)07 wow .
am glad i dont have chickens at my stables { used to be some a few years ago } as we now have a fox cub that comes in the yard at 5.20 am each morning to play with the blind jack russell they have become real good friends that now the cub is slowly inching his way into the yard to sit and watch us while we are working i would say hes about 6 -7 months old at the most its so adorable to watch but if i had birds there then i doubt i would think that .
i do know though that the fox was walking past my chicken run on the allotment the other night or during the night think it was about 3 - 4 am i was laying there thinking oops my girls will be out in about 2 hrs and the fox is lurking i did get bit worried only knew he was about though as he screamed and woke jack who then thought he would try an jump out the window at it .

That's a Foxy Foxy :o

They say it's better not to shoot them if they have learnt from an electric fence... and it seems as though this one had or I'm sure he would have been rounding your ducks up for you :-)06

Proof the fence is doing its job I'd say! :-)17

WOW, thank god for the electric fence, just as well you were there incase mr fox found away over the fence, great looking runners by the way :-)17

What a relief that the fence worked, lets hope he keeps on staying away :-)17
