hi,
i have got an extremely broody laced wyandotte hen. she has been on and off broody since christmas and has now been broody for 10 days or more solid. i have been telling her its not the spring yet and hoping she will snap out of it but she is one determined lady who just wont budge!
i have now given in tonight and sat her on 6 eggs. i was going to have to seperate her anyway as she is getting pecked by the others for hogging the nest. i have got her in the stable as im worried about the weather so she is out of the wind and rain and potential snow!
ive used my own eggs. i have put under her 2 eggs which are mum=bluebelle and dad either cream legbar or cream legbar x bluebelle and 4 that are mum=cream legbar dad=cream legbar or cream legbar cross. this is because i swapped the cockerels over 4 days ago.
who is most likely to be the dad 4 days after swapping cockerels? i will hatch another lot out after which will be new cockerels and pure bred cl.
