Funny meaty blob in droppings

I have 45 Free range POL chickens that I received 6 weeks ago. I was walking in the field the other day and noticed that a few droppings had what almost looked like intestines in them - I didn't see any worms or anything in them but it just looks almost like meaty intestine blobs in them( almost like sausage). There wasn't any fresh blood in the droppings. I am hoping that someone can advise me on what this is and how to treat it

wow that is such an informative thread - thanks so much for posting it! Looks like it was shed intestinal lining so I am very glad it is nothing serious
