i woke up last night to the quails flapping about i had the windows all open as its another hot night and the quails pen is by my bedroom window, there was mr. fox on the quail pen obviously trying to find a way in, i put the torch on him and he just stared at me he didn't run off straight away cheeky thing.
i let the dogs out he ran off then. i now have built a double pen i used the fencing panels i had spare and made another pen around the one they live in so hopefully they will be safe, just a nuisance that i have to do this every evening. 09

A reminder that they (foxes) are always there just waiting for an opportunity Rita. Pleased they were unharmed. Obviously an Urban fox with no fear of humans. Rural foxes are becoming the same, as we found out.

Good thing they have such a sturdy pen, Rita, I'm so glad they were OK. Is it possible to peg the pen down at the sides, that might help.
