Loved this video, I think it's one for Rick, but my girls have it on their Christmas list as well.

Here's the link to their website - a pity it's a U.S. company but it does give enough pics and hints about how to make it and how to train chickens to use it, for the handypersons among us to make their own.

Edit; have just done a bit of research and find its available from Omlet and also on Amazon at the same price.

:D I tried this when they were young pullets but anchored it too low - think they need it to have a bit more weight and longer pendulum to get into the 'swing'! Love the way they stretch out their necks when the swing moves backwards and actually give themselves some more momentum like you would do with your legs to get going. Classic!
What breed are the ones with the big ruff and almost Poland head feathers? They look quite heavy.

I've got a birthday in a few weeks so have sent the link to my OH. I don't know what breed the ones in the video are, but I'm hoping my two leghorns will be the first to learn how to use it.

I made a swing for my girls several years ago, but they wouldn't even perch on it; they're not keen on anything that moves beneath them. Still, the chain that I used has proved handy for hanging feeders and drinkers...
