Forum User Ranks - Your ideas please!

Hi All,

I have set up some basic ranks for users based on number of posts and given them some names:

0-10 posts - Newcomer
11-100 posts - Forum Contributor
101 - 1000 posts - Regular Forum Contributor
1000 - 2500 posts - Part of the Furniture (Lydia you fit into this one nicely!)
>2500 posts - Forum Guru.

These appear on the right hand side under your user name.

I was discussing this with the Moderators and we all agreed my ideas were a little 'bland' shall we say!

So... we thought lets ask you guys for ideas of what 'ranks' we could have, based on a poultry theme... e.g. hatchling, chick, grower,?

5 to 7 ranks should be sufficient - once we have come up with a selection of names in the next few weeks, I will put up a poll and we can decide on a set to use...

We can use images too - although the image is rather small - a small rectanglular box so would be suited to stars or chicks 1 to 5 for example (about the size of a smiley) but not much else.

LOL,as I'm part of the furniture :lol: I wouldn't have a voice(stop cheering you lot) ,but thinks Blue's suggestion is spot on.
All I could think of was:-

big cock......but that may sound rude,so top cock :mrgreen: .

Yes, it was quite funny Lydia, I set it up and visited the forum and you seemed to be the only one who was 'part of the furniture' !

It's great to have you on the forum though Lydia- thanks for your contribution, you're always there to offer support

That's lovely of you to say Tim,I haven't got the most poultry in the world,but,it is taking me all day to care for them(cuddles and lots of TLC)as well as my other pets.
One of my pregnant gerbils escaped yesterday,so i'm dismantling my bedroom trying to find her,so far:-
Lydia 0 Gerbil 100
So I'm really missing the forum and everyone .But,as Arnie is so fond of saying,''I'll be back.....''just with out the austrian accent,or wherever he is from .

Hi all,

Sadly not visited the site for a while until today, just noticed this posting and think Blue`s ideas are really good ( a real boost to the ego to be called a chicklet at my age ha! ha! )

I have used the site on several occasions and have always found the members to be very helpful.

Am I being a bit thick or did we quail keepers come under a general heading before?.

Hello Heather,

Yes, I think that's probably about the best idea. I will take a look at updating the rankings shortly.

As for the Quail area - it was always our intention to add extra forum areas if there was a demand and there seemed to be a few people who kept quail posting - so we added a new area specifically for quail.
