Is it okay to use a quarter of a teaspoon of flubenvet to 1kg of layer's pellets for my 2 pekin bantams, and 1 favorelle bantam?

All the forums I've read suggest 1 teaspoon to 2kg of feed, then to discard the feed that is left over after 7 days. They are currently eating a bit less than 1kg a week between them.

Thanks

It's one level scoop, provided in the packet, to 2 kg. A regular chicken eats 150g per day so three would eat just over 3kg. So your 1 kg is about right for little bantams but for the treatment to be effective the Flubenvet feed MUST be the only thing they eat -no treats. 1kg of feed will need half a scoop of Flubenvet.
Ours hate being wormed. No free ranging for fallen fruit and grubs and no corn either.

Another way I've just been trying this week is to measure out a small pot of mixed corn and/or sunflower seeds per hen, then repeat this 7 times, in your case measure out 21 potfuls. Add a couple of teasponfuls of oil, to coat the corn, and mix thoroughly. Then add the required amount of Flubenvet according to dosage on pack for your number of birds, and mix well so the corn takes up the powder evenly. Keep it in a sealed box. Then, each day for a week, put out 3 potfuls of the mixture on a large dish, so they can all get to it and none gets lost into the floor litter. Watch as they eat it all up - it won't take long, and you can see it going down! If you have a particularly greedy hen, or a rather shy one, you can separate them and let them have their share without interference.
This way you know each bird has eaten it, you don't have any problems with knowing how much to treat to last a week, there's no uneaten treated food, and once they've had their dose they can eat normally the rest of the day.
