Fledglings and stuff

Not pretending to be anything other than a novice with birds but have taken some pictures lately where there have been juveniles that have been an education. Anyway, looking around for resources this evening came across this:

Waaggh!!! Some are pretty obvious though - like a ducking! Baby fowl! Coots!
 
Well the baby swifts look like bats, and the baby bittern just looks plain weird! Although I should think seeing a baby is pretty rare, at least in my part of the world in the UK. I have been watching young sparrows here in Portugal, they are more fearless (ie less experienced) than older birds, so I see them on the ground, taking drinks (thanks to a top tip in another thread), and generally perching, preening and calling far closer to me than the adults.
 
The baby Bittern looks like something from the Muppets. Baby Kingfishers look weird to, bit like a beak that has accidentally got a body attached to it. Wonder what they would say about us.
Favourite has to be young Great crested and Little Grebes, look like little humbugs swimming around
