Fertilization Question??

I have 18 hens with one rooster, he has been in with them for a couple of months, If i remove him and put a different rooster in, how long before they are fertilized by the new rooster, and how long before the old roosters love potion wears off??

Think its 2 or 3 weeks before the old rooster will wear off, then could be fertile 3/4 days after new boy goes in.

LF or bantam? What breed hens & boys?

My hens are white leghorns and the boys are a bcm,new hampshire red, black astralorp,plymouth rock

Hi, i would wait 4 weeks before setting any of the new cockerels eggs- hens can carry sperm from previous matings for awhile - after 4 weeks you can be pretty sure the eggs are by the new cockerel.
