Hi!
This is Adrian ,i was just wondering could anyone give me the name of a few aylesbury duck Breeders? I'm from Ireland and there are next to impossible to get here since there are so few (only a couple birds up north).
I am after the exhibition type and if anyone could reccomend a good breeder i'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Finding good Aylesbury ducks is not easy here. There have been so many 'white ducks' called Aylesbury but are really just white ducks, usually of commercial descent...

There are a few breeders who keep good Aylesburys.

John Richards in Cornwall
Claire Lovegrove in Gloucestershire (although I spoke to her recently and she doesn't have stock this year)
David Pownall in Debyshire (had his birds stolen a year or two ago, not sure if he's managed to rescue his bloodline and recover)
John Hall in Suffolk (usually has stock but furthest away)
Tony Axon in Devon

Sadly, last weekend at the British Waterfowl National Show, there were some beautiful Aylesburys in the sale pens that didn't sell. They eat a lot of food and are not terribly popular.

There were also pairs of well marked Rouen Females that didn't sell. Such a shame.

If you need to make contact with any of the above, PM me and I will help.

Tim.
