Does anyone know why my chickens would go mad for ex-batt crumbs? I have just integrated the ex-batts in with the other chooks and we had some of the crumbs left over so I just put them out. My normal chickens are absolutely gobbling it down!
Another strange thing I have noticed is that the normal chickens appear to be protective of me around the ex-batts. Whenever the ex-batts come up to me my other chickens run up and chase them away, and then try and fly up on to me. If I sit down nearby they will come and fly up onto my lap and refuse to budge! They have always been friendly, but not that friendly...
