I'm kind of wishing it would just rain and be done with it! Cloudy, windy, and the air has that clammy, damp feeling to it. The wind is chilly too. It was like this yesterday too, but yesterday I had a load of mowing and strimming to do, so I'm glad it didn't actually rain then! But now, it's all done, and I'm ready for it to just rain and be done with it! Then maybe we could get back to some Summery weather!

It rained here yesterday - and poured. However much needed and cleaned the place up :-)08

Had just enough to make it possible to get some weeds out. On stony clay so 80% of the time it's unworkable. Good job I'm not an avid gardener!

Plenty of rain here Wednesday night and Thursday evening into Friday morning. Strangely coincided with m in law going into hospital with a stroke. Last year when she went into hospital it started raining, and kept on until she came home.
At least it has filled the lake up nicely, hens took rather a dim view of it all though. Hope you get some for the garden LadyA
Our sympathy's on your stony clay soil Margaid, we are on heavy clay. Just as bad

Still nothing! But I'm hopeful now, because I've been out and watered the vegetable garden! It's very frustrating, because I've had relatives who live in town, which is about 8 or 10 km inland, moaning about getting caught in heavy downpours over the last couple of days! Just those sudden, very heavy cloudbursts. But out here on the coast, not a drop!

Hope things are ok with your MIL, bym, and that she isn't kept in hospital long, but equally, I hope they don't discharge her without all needed supports in place first!

A friend of mine was in hospital for 6 weeks after having a stroke then his sister took him to stay with her. She is a retired nurse so no objections to that especially as the dog went too.

Hope all goes well with your MIL, Bigyetiman

Is this 95 year old MIL as in the post in the other place BYM? Hope things work out OK for you.

Glorious weather here today and forecast for all week. We did have heavy rain last week Wed and Fri, but as we are on light sandy soil it just drained straight through. Has promoted a sudden surge of grass though so having to mow most days. Fortunately sheep are coming this week to eat off the fields which will be good.

Hopefully it wont mess our Welsh trip up.
Mum in Law got away quite lightly it is mainly her arm that is affected, and no problem with speech balance etc. Compared to the the ward she was first in and now this one people are much worse off in those. She has a fifty year old lady next to her who has lost use of all her right side and speech, someone else has lost her sight.
It is her 95th birthday today and only her second ever hospital stay pretty good going, still if you have survived the Luftwaffe dropping a bomb on your office, I guess you are pretty tough

Would be a lovely afternoon here, if it wasn't for the wind! Lovely sunshine, but windy.

Still no rain. *taps foot impatiently*
I know what's going to happen - once it starts raining here, it will forget how to stop!

:( I knew it! The rain started late last week, and we've had lots. It's now been dull, chilly and overcast for several days, with heavy showers, and more rain threatening.

Nice to be proved right - or is it? Hope it stops soon, the weather is improving again here in Shropshire.

Only one heavy shower today. However, I wasn't home all day, so still didn't manage to get anything done! :o

Should have kept my mouth shut!
Torrential rain, all day, after a few days of cold, damp weather!

On the plus side, the rows of beetroot that I planted recently have all popped up overnight!
