eggs

i can't believe it i found 2 eggs in their house today, they had laid them in there nest box with hay, i can't believe it i didn't know that they laid in boxes like chickens i thought they would be like my ducks and lay them every where, what good little quails they are. 08
i don't know which one's are laying hopefully the others will start soon, does that mean they will all lay in the house or will the others lay out in the run.
it's always exciting when you get your first egg.
They all seem very happy together, i put the sand in a plastic container with a box around it so they don't lose all the sand when they are in there kicking it about, they really love the sand and spend lots of time in there, they are now eating millet and love there greens, they love meal worms which they get every evening, they still eat crumb and bird seed.
should they go onto layers now that they have started to lay.

Hooray, how exciting! Mine usually lay in their little plastic huts, but occasionally on the floor or in the sand bowl. Mine eat Garvo Alfamix for Chicks plus about 30% layers mixed in. Don't know if this is right but every bird has laid an egg every day now for the last 3 months so probably OK!

Mine usually lay in the same corner of their house, but do lay the odd one in the run (just like chickens do).
