Egg rocking

Hi I'm on day 20 , in my own home made incubator
Are the eggs supposed to be rocking by now ?
I havent seen any sign yet, and no pipping yet
I managed ti increase humidity 10 percent up from 50
By turning the fan on fir the last 3 days

Try not to worry too much!

I've got eggs hatching at the moment that are on day 23 and 24.

Keep the humidity up, and try resist opening the incubator

mine didnt move until pipped couldnt even hear them till end of day 21 then in morn had loads of chicks.
if temp is slightly low it takes longer. in my home made they were almost a week late.

ah thanks for that, been off for a while , as my first hatch was a disaster, temps all over the place . let me advise anyone here and now DIMMING SWITCHES DOES NOT WORK FOR TEMP ADJUSTMENTS.i have since bought a brilliantly accurate dimming thermostat device, FROM A COMPANY CALLED FORRTEXit simply adjusts the amps to the heating device to any preset temp, mines obviously 37.5 and when the ambiant temps go either side of that by .3 it does its job. it really never has gone over by more tyhan .3, so this hatch of 17 mixed eggs , is day 21 and ive two small pips not broken throgh yet, i had to bin one last night , it was weeping. bt it wasnt too bad.
