hi all just curious to know where can i buy 12 egg boxes as in a dozen box not 2 sixes cant find anywhere

Don't know! I get given tons of eggs boxes and the 12 ones all seem to be from supermarkets. I just use those. In fact very few of my boxes are new, most are "recycled", and I use and re-use until they get soiled or damaged.

The cafe where I work get all of their eggs in trays. 8 x 8 I think and there is always a pile of them going for recycling. You could cut up some like that and use them as top and bottom if 12s are not to be found.

ive purchased 100 half dozen boxes lol so im not tight just easyer when taking a dozen to family and friends in dozen box , strange though why they dont sell them anywhere

I think it just feels easier and safer to move two boxes of 6 than one box of 12. Also, it takes up less room in the fridge, one box on top of the other, an once you're down to the second half-dozen you can remove the first box.

Even in the supermarkets these days, I notice the eggs are now usually in boxes of 10 rather than 12! I think it was a sneaky way of increasing prices and hoping people wouldn't notice!
