duck -v - bugs

We have a lot of False Widow Spiders :evil: [even writing that makes my skin crawl] & my husband wanted me to find out if our ducks would be susseptable to their bites or will they simply have a good feast?

YUK!! what does a false widow spider look like? is it those small horrid black ones? our chickens & cat eat them (can we have a i feel sick smilie please??!!)

Think I found one yesterday, not sure though, it was large, pale red and quick thick bodied, jumped out of my skin when I googled them! I would imagine that ducks would avoid them, like they instinctively do with bees
