i have a sick runner duck.
it started during a heat wave, and we recently moved the coop and chicken run maybe 2 weeks ago. we have 4 ducks that live with 5 chickens.
she still can get up and will come out of the run with the other ducks to play in the garden, but gets tired after about 10 minutes then just sits and tries to hide. she looks generally kinda poor, and is moving slow. she can still run if she is scared. yesterday she was actually limping like her left side hurt, which seemed like a turn for the worse, but she is not doing that today. in the chicken and duck run she just sits in the same spot, and will not get up when a favorite food is given to the other animals. (like grated cucumber in water). i saw her poop today and it was runny and white. my boyfriend said he heard a duck sneeze last night, also a concern. the sick duck is not sneezing. we checked her flippers and legs and they look fine.
we were super careful about not leaving anything like screws around when we built the coop. i do know that there feed got wet awhile back, that was in the feeder. i do not think it molded, but it is now a question in my mind.
the other ducks seem happy and fine.
does anyone have an opinion, on what could be going on, and what to do? i do not want to separate her, because she will be depressed.
