Just wondering how folks' ducks have been laying this year?

I hatched a new lot last summer, and they started laying mid Februrary this year, and still are. Is this quite good going? I used to have ducks as a child, various sets of them over the years, and they normally only ever laid from mid March to around the end of June when they started to go into molt. These ducks have laid through their molt. They are Shetland ducks and White Campbells, and both lots are laying. I was thinking it was a bit unusual?

Mine usually have more or less stopped by now, but they are all still laying, well last years hatch are. I have even found a clutch of muscovy eggs with a very broody Muscovy! Maybe the fine weather we are having?

Not sure. I live in Shetland and our weather is never much to write home about ;) We have had a pretty wet summer after a dry one last year, so that might be something to do with it. They are free range so maybe finding more to fuel their egg production? Its great anyway, I hope they are laying early in the new year, I've got a few regulars buying eggs and its all good :)
