Our male ducks are bullying the geese, the geese are at least twice the size of the ducks. They both gang up on a goose (or it could be a gander we don't know) and chase it around then try to grab its neck and pull its feathers out in the process. There are two geese now with necks that look like they have been attacked in this way. The drakes are very, how can I put it delicately, sexually active at the moment but only one of the ducks seems to be the target of their desires. Are they trying to mate with the geese as well? Does that mean those 2 geese are females? We have 2 drakes, 4 ducks and 4 gees  e.

Older drakes in the breeding season can be a real pain and cause a fair bit of damage. Might be worth keeping the young geese separate from the drakes for a short time, won't be long before the drakes calm down as the breeding season draws to a close.

Hi, i would try and add some more ducks or get rid of one drake- you only need one for 4 ducks- they can be real bullies- and do damage- try to keep them apart if you can.
No, the geese will be either sex- the drakes aren't fussy- some will try and mate anything- chickens, geese, turkeys etc.
regards, David :)

thanks for the advice - these are young drakes as well! ... think one may be headed for the roasting tin!
