"Do you own a Brinsea TLC-4M or TLC-5M intensive care unit? As part of our development of the latest range of intensive care units we have identified a potential fire risk in older products when used with enriched oxygen. Please click through to read the IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE concerning the use of oxygen in these models.

Please note that current Brinsea and Vetario products are not affected by this advice and can continue to be used in both oxygen and heating modes simultaneously."

What would you use one of these for - not chickens surely ?

Good warning !

Yes, Chuck, it did give me an image of a hen lying on her back, oxygen mask on her beak, ecg stickers all over her chest, and tubes going off in all directions to bags of plasma and monitoring machines...
good warning, though kegs, please let us know what it's really for!

Just "Googled" it Marigold. It seems Vets use them to aid the recovery of "small patients", ie cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and parrots. It was adapted from an egg incubator so it provides controllable all-round heat, controllable humidity (useful for repriles apparently) and can nebulise drugs or provide extra oxygen. It looks as though it has been superseded by a newer model.

This is a must have piece of kit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was mainly designed around the parrot breeders as the birds are worth so much and are so flippin hard to keep alive, and lets not forget those people who keep lizards as well
