do ducks go into lock down as in artificial incubation?

I ask this as Karen has been sitting but coming off her eggs twice a day.
The passed few days it has only been once a day.
Today no sign of Karen. Apart from her making noises if you come close to her that is.
Do ducks naturally sit continually on their eggs if they are about to hatch?
They should be hatching tomorrow...I think

It has now been 3 long days that Karen has sat on her eggs without coming off to feed, poo and water.
Should I now be worried?
Each day I excitedly look forward to seeing her ducklings; but as each day goes by I feel a sense of dread.
As a newbie to this; am I just being paranoid? :?

Even after hatching, she will spend another day on the ducklings and any eggs that have not hatched. They know by instinct what to do so you might as well relax.
