today i saw a friend from another site who said he had lost his birds to foxes due to someone { not from the site } breaking in and leaving the run door open they were gutted and i have been thinking for a while now on letting my big girls drop in numbers and in time just have the bantams only so i have offered him 6 or 7 of my girls it wil be hard letting them go but i know he will look after them and i can always go and see them it still leaves me with 6 adults but i have ordered some bantam pekin eggs today so i can risk hatching some different breeds of them now i can make thier pen bigger over the summer .
