hi i`m on day 19 of our incubating eggs, i`ve stopped turning and increased humidity which at the moment is 70%, is the humidity about right or does it need to be higher/lower, thanks :-)09

I think everyone does things differently , seems to vary with weather, location, breed ,make of incubator etc. Personally I run mine dry untill nearly all are pipped then add a little water or move to hatcher---if I havent managed to move them to a broody hen .The polystyrene box I use as a hatcher seems to keep humid enough and I dont add water in there. Mine never runs as high as 70% as I am sure I have drowned more chicks than Ive dehydrated! Im afraid its all a bit trial and error till you find what suits you. Good luck!

Hi, I just hatched 20 chickens and for the last 3 days I kept humidity at 70%. so yours is fine. But yea some people do it differently. Hope this helps and good luck! :-)

Agree a bit of trial and error, I think everyones situation is slightly different, and it does seem to depend on where you live, type of incy, enviroment, even which room...etc..not to mention the eggs themselves. It seems getting getting used to a new incy can take a few goes to get just right.
I run dry and only increase humidity to around 60% when I see half of them at least have pipped :-)17
