Daisy hasn't laid an egg for 6 days??? Help???

Hi, my little daisy has been laying eggs now for over a year, she has always laid one per day with odd occasion she would miss a day an lay it the next.

For some reason thou this is the 6 day she ain't laid. what could be wrong???

Hi Paddy good to hear from you again.

This is good news for Daisy, ducks stop laying around this time of year due to the shortened day length and colder temps and also this is around the time of the year when they molt (but this is not set in stone as some ducks molt at other times and more than once a year).
It means her little reproductive system gets a break which means she will be healthier.
She may lay the odd one, but no panic unless she seem quiet and depressed.

Hi there ..... She has been moulting the last week funny enough feather everywere and her wing flight feathers also is that normal? Aww that's great. I'd prefer her to be healthy than have eggs, as long as its normal that's good news, we even let her sleep inside are living room last night with her 2 boys, give them all a shower let them dry off an have good proon then put em in like a big doggy cage in living to see if it was cold weather but stil no egg. I though in winter they just late every other day or so, can they stop completely ye??

Yep, all mine have stopped totally I am pleased to say.

Mine have stopped laying too Paddy, and their run is full of feathers, enough to make at least one cushion! They are healthy and happy though and I am sure enjoying the break from laying eggs every day.

My Indian runner stopped around this time of year and then would start again around febuary/march time. My campbell though was the same as your's laid nearly every day up until about the winter then about 3 a week, but this year she never started laying as she used to and now i'm lucky if i get 2 a week. But she is 3 and a half years old now.

Aw glad its normal then. She appears to have got a much more healthy orange looking beak now also since stopped laying.
