Daft question but...

Can security lighting for the garden affect automatic door openers on chicken houses? I have cats which like to prowl on the evening, leaving lovely "presents" on the step for me but I was just thinking this morning that if the security light keeps coming on through the night will the door opener not "think" its getting light and open?

Like I say, I know its a daft question but you know, I get these thoughts and I need answers!

I think it's a good question,not daft.I don't have automatic door openers on my hen's houses,so I honestly don't know.Personally,I would want to set automatic openers with a timer,as my ex-batts don't go into their house until it is dark,they do like dragging out their freedom to roam.My others all go to bed as soon as it is dusk.

I only know of them being on a timer so you choose what time they open. Sorry.
