I have just read through the curled toe topic and wondered if there is anything I can do for on of our 12 week old hens we have only just noticed it as we only got her last week?
I have moved her toes and they will sit straight so didn't know if the method shown in the curled toe topic would work on her? Any help as we would of liked to have used her as a show bird. (its one of our blue lace wyandotte hens)

We have several of our Blue Laced and Gold Laced Wyandottes with slightly curled toes. Think its genetic. The parents were fine though and they have all been very healthy from chicks onwards. The curley toes were noticed much later, about 20 weeks. They can all be straightened, its just a way they stand or grip.

Don't think you can do anything at that age anyway Darylh.

I think it's probably too late at 12 weeks but you could give it a go. It's unlikely to harm her in every day living though but if you bought her as a show bird you could go back to the seller.
