i dont know if i can wait another week for my little cockeral to go hes getting louder and louder and i am so worried that someone will complain even though no one has yet and never complained about my last 2 , the council know hes going this coming weekend but it doesnt make me feel much better i'm getting so paranoid but at least hes going to a good home where he will be used for breeding just wish i had got in contact with this person sooner as shes on hoilday tell wendesday :-)05 .people say they cant hear him but all the houses surrouding the site are about as close as me and i can hear him more each day and this morning he hasnt stopped were as normally he only crows once or twice and thats it .
 
Are they just being polite or maybe they really can't hear him. I'm sure you're just more aware of him, always listining and not wanting to upset your neighbors. Would it help if you went and talked to them (again)? Just explain that they just need to be patiet for one more week then he'll be gone.

those who live the nearest can hear him and they love it but its the others on the far side that worry me as they are not as nice , i am hoping something upset him to make him as noisy as he was .
thankfully most people are pretty good but it only takes one to cause arrgo :(
 
Sure he will be fine Karminski. Probably a bit insecure perhaps with all the big birds around him and he's just asserting his authority. Good you have found him a good home.

Hope our new landlords like cockerels. I have told them we are bringing 6 breeding sets. As they already have chickens in the woods somewhere you would think they realise that to breed you need a cockerel. On the positive side the two really really really loud ones are no longer with us and we are now down to 5 anyway. Otherwise we have a year to find another place.
 
If the council know he is going this weekend they are not going to bother you.
With council cuts, EH have enough cases on. After a weekend like the one just past they will be flat out
with people complaining about smelly barbecues, noisy music from open widows ect, that's the level of complaints they get, even though by next weekend it will be hissing down the "nuisance" will naturally be gone.
 
it is me just getting paranoid :-)05 if it wasnt for the rules and knowing i am not allowed then i think i would be fine but hes crowing now even when i go in there in the afternoons which in one way is funny , am so glad hes found a home and i can have some of his chicks next year as well which will be great.
2 of our neighbours were talking of having a bonfire last night but thankfully they never did i would have gone mental over that it was even to hot with the windows open and to be gassed out by the smoke well think i would of lost my mind with anger .

Going over Monday Karminski with 5 coops and runs plus other stuff. Nearly 2000Kg payload in total but 4700Kg all in -hope the 1.9 turbodiesel can handle it!

Are you sure you want more chicks -what if they are all cockerels?
 
i am very doubtfull if i will hatch again chris , this person whos having my boy does tons of hatching of pekins so i will see what she hatches next year then i can buy of her :D good luck with moving tht stuff i am excited for you :lol:

asked a few people tonight who live very close to my birds and asked if they have heard the cockeral and 2 only said once and really dont mind him at all if anything they enjoy hearing him and the others dont hear him how to make me feel awkward :lol: :lol: if only it wasnt for the stupid rules but i am pushing my luck in asking the council if i can keep him until someone does complain but i cant risk rocking the boat with them .
 
i spoke to the woman tonight who was going to have my boy and between us we have decided that i will keep him but if does have to go then she will still take him in for me :D , if someone was going to complain they would of done it by now but there is one other couple i need to ask just to put my mind at rest as they can be very dodgy one min they will like you and talk then next they treat you like dirt and those are the ones i dont trust .
